WPBA Players Championship - Top women pros compete for over $50,000 Open Amateur Championship - Four hundred and forty players compete for the $5,000 guaranteed first prize. Format is 9-ball races to 5, 2 out of 3 sets single elimination and played on 7" tables. Entry fee is $75. The field usually fills by the end of February. Play begins at 11:00am, on Friday, March 19th. This tournament is strictly an amateur event. The tournament is opened to anyone associated witha sanctioned league (BCA, APA, Valley, etc.). If you are not sure if your league is considered sanctioned please contact Ron Alford to determine your league's status. The sanction requirement is made to ensure that only amateurs compete in the events. Smaller/lesserknown leagues than the ones mentioned above are encouraged to attend. The format of the tournament is 5-man team eight-ball on over size 7'ft tables; the maxinum number of teams allowed will be 256. There will also be a singles eight-ball tournament; limited to 64 players. The entry fee for the team play is $200.00 per team. The entry fee for the singles events will be $75.00 per person. All entry fees need to be sent in by March 20. After March 20 the entry fees will increase by $25.00. If 256 teams (maximum allowed in this tournament) attend there will be over $50,000 in cash and prizes. National 9 Ball Championships in Tulsa Olk.July 22-24th at Magoo`s Billiards. Boy's and
Girls divisions $25.00 entry fee included table time Double elimination winners race to 9, losers race to 7, finals one race to 9. Open at 12 noon starts at 1pm sharp.
